Avery: He's my best boyfriend! He loves me!
Ben: Are you going to marry him?
Avery: No, I'm going to marry little Connor. He loves me.
Me: Do you want to marry Gavin?
Avery: (exasperated sigh) I love Gavin. He's my boyfriend but I'm going to marry little Connor because he wants to marry me.
Ben: So you're going to marry little Connor and keep Gavin as your boyfriend.
Avery: Yes.
