James comes to terms with reality [by Ben]

Conversation while in the shower between Ben and James:
James: Dad, what is that squeegee for?
Me: That's so we can dry off the shower door when we are done with our shower.
James: Why do we need to dry the door?
Me: The water has lots of minerals in it like calcium and magnesium and if it drys on the door it leaves these white marks, see the little white marks?
James: Yeah, but dad I'm not very good at science.
Me: That's OK James, I'll teach you lots about science as you grow up.
James: Dad, you should get a job at OMSI (the local science museum) so you can teach lots of kids about science.
Me: I would, but I really like my job.
James: Dad, there's lots of jobs out there, huh?
Me: Yes, there are.
James: Dad, I'm going to have a really hard time figuring out what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Yes, James, there IS a life out there, and it IS hard to figure out! But with your brains and know-how, so super-advanced for a 6 year old, your job will be narrowing the field, rather than searching for an endeavor.

For the rest of you, I must say that although James just finished Kindergarten this very week, he is already reading chapter books on a third grade level! YIKES!
