James lost his first tooth!
This is what the Tooth Fairy left. When I was growing up we would write notes to the Tooth Fairy and she would write us back. I don't know what the going rate for 1 tooth is so we just went with a $1 :)
James was so excited this morning when he saw that she had come. I'm still lamenting the fact that his cute little baby teeth will all be falling out soon. I sincerely pray that he hasn't inherited my messed up teeth!

Sorry Nicki. This is when kids start getting really ugly. Well, they start when their grown up teeth come in. I think they're pretty cute when they have both front teeth missing.
Still cute, though! And I like the note with the dollar.
Ask Ben to tell you his saga of himself and the tooth fairy, ending tearfully when he was a teenager and learned that NOTHING IS CERTAIN, especially magic!
I hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but we Davises don't contribute anything good on the grown-up teeth front. First of all, our grown up teeth in adolescence (and probably even adulthood!) are unbelievably big. Secondly, we all have pretty crooked teeth. Ben is really lucky he didn't need braces on top. but you should see pics of me and Jennie pre-braces! yikes. So....chances are, James is in for a real doozie of a tooth arrangement!
On the positive side, congrats on the successful tooth fairy visit!
love the tooth fairy letter...gonna have to borrow that one. we'll be joining you in the missing teeth department very soon. :)
