Rest of March 2016

We decided to take the scenic route home to Oregon, stopping by the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park on the way.

Ben wanted the kids to pretend they were hanging off the edge of the canyon

The Grand Canyon was just as awe inspiring as I imagined it would be. It was super windy and I was terrified when the kids even got close to the railing.

We continued our trek through southern Utah. I had been to Zion National Park before. I was telling the kids about the amazing red mountains. Imagine our surprise when we got there and it was snowing! It was fine in the beginning but by the time we got into the actual park it was so bad that we couldn't see anything. Everything was covered in a white mist. We stopped at the visitors center so we could show kids pictures of what it was supposed to look like.

We were able to stop and see Arianne, the kids and Lorie, as well as meet up with Shauna and the boys.

After lots of different hotel rooms and beds, this girl was excited to go home.

And after almost a month of being away, I was awfully glad to be back in Oregon. I like Arizona just fine but Oregon has my heart.
