Avery's 6th Birthday

Our little Avery girl turned 6 in June. We woke her up in the morning to give her presents and then she got all dolled up to spend the day with Ben. They visited his office, went for a ride on the tram, and went out to lunch. Then they met me, James and Briella at our gym's pool where we played for a couple hours. After that I took her to my mom's office where she helped her with some work, went out to dinner with her and Pappa and went shopping. She got home super late at night, giddy and exhausted at the same time. She absolutely loves attention and this was the perfect day for her.

Yes I gave her the new Justin Beiber cd and yes, she put the poster up in her room.

She has been wanting a candyland party for the longest time so that's what I went with this year. The plan was to have it at a local water fountain park since there were going to be so many kids but our lovely Oregon weather made us change our plans. My house isn't really suited for big groups, especially not 20 kids, but it worked out ok in the end. We played some candy related games like pass the lifesaver, drop the pixie stick and the kids favorite - atomic sucker. We passed around a box of suckers with one of them having a red dot on the bottom. This was the atomic sucker and Briella was the lucky one to get it. This is what happened - 

After all the games Ben enthralled all 20 kids with a story. It was hilarious how much they got into it! After presents I got a picture of Avery with every one of her guests, she looks less than happy in some of them but I promise she was thrilled. She's doing this thing lately where she does the somber, serious look for the camera. It's super dramatic :)

The candy/goody bar that the kids went crazy with at the end. I may or may not have bought too much and may or may not have been pouring it into kid's bags at the end of the party. One girl even told me to stop giving her candy because she had too much.

Avery is such a sweet, darling girl. We are so lucky to have her. She is so thoughtful of other people and their feelings. She truly loves everyone she meets and loves to take care of them. She will be an amazing babysitter when she gets older. We love you Princess Avery girl! Here are her interview questions.

What did you do for your birthday?

I went to work with Daddy and went on a Tram and I went out to lunch with Daddy and went to see the house David was going to buy and I went out with Nanna and Pappa for dinner and I went to Target and to the pool. And I got to stay up late and I found a $5 bill on the road. And I got to meet everybody at Daddy’s work.

What is your favorite color?

Pink

What is your favorite toy right now?

One of my critters, my little cat critter (littlest pet shop). My favorite stuffed animal is Rose, my bushbaby.

What is your most favorite thing to do?

I like to play with Daddy and play games and play with my critters.

Peas and corn, taquitos, ravioli, shell noodles with cheese, edamame, and cheddar cheese.
