I got tagged by Jennie at Beehive and Birds Nest to list six random things about myself. I'm not a very interesting person so this has proved to be a bit difficult but here goes nothing!
1. I have never gotten a speeding ticket. I have been pulled over a couple of times but never ticketed. The bad thing is that I like to drive fast. I obey the speed limit in neighborhoods and school zones, but when it comes to the highway or back country roads I can't help myself. What's even worse is that I'm setting bad example for the kids. Anytime we go to Costco James requests this back road that's full of bumps and turns. They will both sit in the back, put their arms in the air and yell "wheee" while I drive. Ben once drove it and James kept asking him why he wasn't driving fast like me. Now I sound like an awful mom - but it keeps the kids happy!
2. I LOVE dipping fries into milkshakes. My all-time favorite is Wendy's fries, nice and salted, with a frosty. I have to have a balance of salty and sweet together and this is the perfect combination.
3. I cannot stand the sound of people chewing. It seriously gives me the chills. There have been times when I've sent Ben out of the room because I couldn't handle it. Now I'm an awful wife as well. He puts up with me and just laughs about it. I wish I could get over that but so far, no luck.
4. I was on academic probation at college. I was going to Ricks (when it was a two-year school) and had a lousy second year. I gave up completely and ended up about 8 credits short of getting my Associates degree. I'm just not a school person so, even now, I have no desire to finish it.
5. I'm pretty sure I'm a little obsessive compulsive. What I'm obsessing over right now is a name for this baby girl that will be here in a matter of weeks. I can't get it out of my head that both James and Avery have five letters in their name so this next baby has to have the same. Is that weird?
6. If I had my way I would never own a pet. What's sad is that James asks me for a puppy almost every day. I know that having a pet is some sort of rite of passage for kids but the thought of it makes me sick. I can't stand the smell, the shedding, the constant care, any of it. Now I'm a twice awful mom :)

I forgot about your chewing thing. I'll have to be more careful around you now. :)
Also, you're not a bad mom for not wanting pets. We only ever had pets to help my little brother through a couple rough patches. If I get my way, we won't have a pet again either.... shhh...don't tell Jon. (actually, he already knows how I feel)
That was fun to learn that stuff about you!
Hmmmm....maybe get James a fish?
