I don't know what I would do without my James. He is such a good kid. He is way too bright for his own good. He doesn't argue with me when I ask him to do something and is so willing to help out where it is needed. He isn't embarrassed to hug me in public and likes hanging out with us old parents. When I get to spend one-on-one time with him he asks that most interesting questions. His mind is always working and he has such a good memory about facts and things. Unfortunately he inherited Ben's lapse of memory regarding things that I deem important, like turning in his homework on time. He reads like crazy and will devour a book in a sitting. We are constantly on the lookout for a new series for him. He is becoming very independent and confident which thrills me. He was already pretty independent but he's really kicked it up this past year. He loves cooking and will make dinner at least once a week. He started babysitting for us and will feed the girls dinner, put them to bed and be in bed himself by the time we get home.  He loves playing the piano and is getting very proficient at it. He even asked his music teacher if he could play a solo at the next musical performance.  He has a testimony that he is not afraid to share with those around him. He's been dealing with some sleep anxiety this past year and that has been troublesome for him. One of the things that helps is when I cuddle him and run my hands through his hair. To still be needed by him is something that makes my heart happy. He may be growing up but he will always be my baby.
