One of my mom's most favorite places on earth is Victoria, Canada. We've done some girl's weekend trips, my mom, sister, sister-in-law and I. This time my mom wanted to add Avery and Mackayla to the mix. We had quite the adventure getting there. We missed the 5 pm ferry to the island and had to wait until 9:30. Then, in prepping the girls to get through customs they decided to start speaking in English accents, declaring, "I'm from England!" They got the accents spot on but I don't think the customs officials would have thought it was as funny as we did. After a crappy night of sleep (due to a faulty Aero Bed), we were ready to hit the town!
After wandering around downtown Victoria, we headed to Butchart Gardens. We went later in the day so we could stay until it closed and watch their fireworks show. The girls were in heaven. I gave Avery my camera and let her go crazy. I will have to do a separate blog post with all the pictures she took, they're amazing!
The next day we went to a park where we met a friendly peacock that let me feed it. The girls also got to play with some goats. Then we got back on the ferry and started the long drive home. It was such a great weekend!

I know we went the same time of year a couple years ago, but everything looks greener. How beautiful!
This really is the most GORGEOUS garden! Too bad it will be too late to see much when I come in October -- unless it won't be too late?
Don't you all look beautiful!
